Rainy but hot

So it started raining this morning in Phoenix, it smells so good:) It is very warm out so it makes wanting to put your jacket on to stay dry a little tougher. We went and explored the city a little bit last night. We found a great little japanese restaurant down the street that had the best atmosphere and yummy food to match:) Mike got his bike all wiped down last night so when it started raining this morning Ayden and I giggled a little. We are going to stay in today and do some arts and crafts. Maybe take a drive up to the black canyons.

Arrived in Phoenix

Ah the difference a week can make. The past week was a busy one. It was full of fun,fun , oh and did I mention FUN! Our reservations at the Grand Canyon got very messed up so we decided to stay in this little campground on the outskirts called Flintstones. Ayden loved the low budget, I guess you can call it theme park! Snoop our very friendly adventurous black lab had tons of room and goat head stickers to play with! It's amazing how only a week has gone by, yet the air seems so much calmer here! We met a nice family with 3 new friends for Ayden. So far he has adjusted very nicely to the small living space with the HUGE back yard:) We hope to see you Dave,Amber & Family down the road again. After saying our see ya laters, we left the flintstones and took one last look at the beautiful Canyon. We headed a little further south until the rain was so thick we had to stop for the night. We woke up in Prescott valley, jumoed on the freeway and have now ended up in Phoenix. We will stop here and check out the life it has to offer! We have found a cozy little RV park with lots of good weather,a relaxing pool and a great playground for Ayden.

And the journey begins

We have left Reno and headed south. We stopped in Hawthorne friday night and then drove thru to Boulder city. We arrived in Flagstaff,AZ tonight. The air seems very crisp but so pleasant. We are gearing up to spend the next week at the Grand Canyon. We have been driving pretty slowly with the heavy truck we are towing and all the hills it took to get here. The RV is driving very nicely and Mike is doing wonderful behind the wheel.

Here we go!!!!!

After life handed us some lemons we decided to make some ice tea! We traded our 4bd 3bth home with scheduled watering days, and "honey don't forget its garbage night" in for a 36' Holiday Rambler Vacationer. We have decided to take our 2 year old son, dog, and 2 cats and head across the United States. We want to experience life for all its worth. Try out new places and see what works for us. We are excited to get back to enjoying the life we have been graced with and to being able to spend this vital time in our sons life watching him grow and experience new places and new faces. We look forward to meeting new friends and getting to know this beautiful country.
